The Art of Film Music is filled with rare photographs and illustrations, indepth Q&As with each composer, and comprehensive filmographies of their works. It opens with a touching dedication by David Raksin to the great Bernard Herrmann, who had died just weeks before the impressive event took place. This hard-to-find 40-page, soft-cover book measures 9.25" x 10" on high-quality glossy stock. It has never been reprinted and is not commercially available. The interviews and statements by the composers are not offered anywhere else.
