Shrek, Narnia Composer in Seminar
Gregson-Williams to discuss film music career, creative process

Golden Globe-nominated composer Harry Gregson-Williams (Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Kingdom of Heaven) will discuss his film career with Brian King, Director of USC Thornton School of Music's film scoring program, in a seminar sponsored by the education-based Center for Communication, Monday, December 2nd at the Goethe-Institut in Los Angeles.

Among the topics of discussion with British-born Gregson-Williams will be the creative process of composing for film and television, and advice for emerging composers on how to break into the film and television music fields.

The New York-based Center for Communication is an independent media forum launched in 1980 by former CBS president Frank Stanton and Museum of Television & Radio president Robert Batscha to bridge the gap between the communications industry and educational institutions.

The Goethe-Institut is located at 5750 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 100, Los Angeles, CA 90036. The event is free. To register or for more information, go to www.cencom.org or call (212) 686-5005.
